You are watching: Nissan sentra tail lights not working

Hey folks, acquired a monster problem. 2015 Sentra and also the rear lights stopped working. I rotate the lamp on, the headlights work, yet not the rear. However....If i hit the brakes the brake lights come on for a second or 2 then one shuts off. Rear revolve signals likewise work as does the keyless lock irradiate flash. Ns do have a cracked rear left tail light and also moisture has gotten in end the last couple of months and there looks to be some mold in the lamp, and also it"s been raining every day.I changed the fuse because that the lights and also nothing. I did that in the engine bay fuse crate is there a fuse in the dash fuse box?Am ns gonna need to buy a brand-new tail light to resolve it?

Corrosion because that sure. It could not be restricted to just the tail irradiate assembly...you may have some harness/connector fix to carry out too. Ideal thing would be to inspect the pear holders native the rear and see if their interior contacts are corroded. Likewise check the ground wires because that the exploit in the location.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a offered tail light off ebay and also it didn"t resolve the whole problem. Brake lights currently work yet the traditional rear lights still don"t work. Left & ideal signal work.Is over there a relay somewhere that additionally controls the lights? Is over there a wiring diagram virtual somewhere. My dad"s a mechanic and also he checked v a volt meter and also he stated I"m not gaining power, yet from where?

Thanks AGAIN!!Dad figured it out though. There"s one fuse box infront that the Battery and also another come the side, under the waiting intake tube. One 10a fuse there to be bad, we changed it and also lights work. So possibly that moisture gaining in native the cracked lamp caused a short and killed the fuse. With the new unbroken tail lamp that must hopeful fix that. Thanks again sir!
