Well - oil adjust done. 4 litres of shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 (£40 from covering garage) unable to do in and used Saab filter.Chap also adjusted the temperature sensor as needle frequently dropped to cold. All in including charges for atmosphere waste the £3.75 - full £16.16 in ~ of VAT.Cannot grumble at that and also yes he did execute it properly and recharged the filter with the new oil prior to fitting.Obviously I"ve just driven 5 mile (in heavy snow storm!!!) so can not give any type of judgement top top engine noise etc alhtough mine is an exceptionally quiet engine. One day SS66 you"ll have one I"m sure. I waited a lengthy time because that the right one to come along - see my avatar
Could it is in the thermostat needs an altering too. The gauge dropping come zero is the ECU"s means of informing you something"s wrong and it isn"t gaining up to temperature. It is greatly noticed throughout winter. If the thermostat stops working open (which is what they must do) climate the engine is overcooled. Fairly simple job to do. I had mine done in about 20 minutes.

Most people on right here (and the car and oil manufacturers) agree that oil additives are not normally a great thing. Why walk you decide to usage one?Re the oil filter. Did friend actually readjust the filter top top yours? the should always be excellent at every oil change. When I remove mine I ar a little bit of V-folded cardboard under it to channel the oil which will come out into a an ideal container. Before re-fitting the new filter ns fill it up (and let the seep in properly) roughly 2/3-3/4 full. As long as girlfriend keep transforming it as soon as you sell it up and also screw it earlier on then no oil should come out. Don"t forget to smear a small oil on the rubber seal and only execute it increase hand tight.
